Bishop Julio Angkel visits Governor’s Office

On Thursday, April 8, 2021, Governor Oliver received The Most Reverend Bishop, Julio Angkel, D.D., Bishop of the Diocese of Caroline Islands, and Vicariate General/Judicial Vicar, Father Kelly Yalmadau, to the Governor’s Office, Peilapalap, Kolonia.

During the Bishop’s visit to the Governor’s Office, he met with members of the Office of the Governor, including Chief of Staff, Kapilly Capelle, and Public Affairs Officer, Mr. Peteriko Hairens.  Father Kelly Yalmadau thanked Governor Oliver for welcoming them and said that both the Government and Church are there to help the people, which makes their cooperation and collaboration important.  Before leaving Bishop Angkel gave a brief homily followed by a  blessing upon the Office of the Governor.
