Four New Members Sworn In to the Pohnpei Sports Commission

PEI LAPALAP, POHNPEI — August 10, 2026 — Four new members of the Pohnpei Sports Commission officially took their oaths of office on Friday, August 7, 2026, from Acting Governor Herolyn S. Movick during a ceremony held at the Governor’s Conference Room in Pei Lapalap.

Congratulations to the newly sworn-in commissioners representing their respective municipalities:

Henderson Booth – Representing Sokehs

Anderson Ponapart – Representing Nett

Jerome Silbanuz – Representing Madolenihmw

Toshio Akinaga – Representing Kolonia Town

The Pohnpei Sports Commission serves a vital role in directing athletic programming, supporting youth development, and promoting sports initiatives throughout the state. Adding these commissioners strengthens local representation and strategic leadership for the upcoming September 11 Liberation Day Games and sports development programs.
