Kolonia, Pohnpei: January 24, 2024 – ADB Senior Senior Country Officer for the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), Mrs. Maybelline Bing, and Senior Operation Assistant, Mr. Alan Semens paid a courtesy call on Governor Stevenson A. Joseph at the Governor’s temporary office in downtown Kolonia.
During the meeting, Mrs. Bing provided insights into the contributions of ADB to various sectors within the FSM. The discussions encompassed ADB’s involvement in pivotal areas such as energy, roads, education, and technical assistance in the land sector. Mrs. Bing highlighted the ongoing efforts and plans of ADB in these crucial domains, emphasizing their commitment to sustainable development in the region.
Of particular note was the revelation that ADB recently conducted an assessment on tourism in the FSM. Mrs. Bing conveyed that the findings of this assessment would be shared with relevant stakeholders once they are available.
