Kolonia, Pohnpei: February 22, 204 – Governor Stevenson A. Joseph welcomed Mr. Fredy Perman, Chief Executive Officer of FSM Telecommunications Corporation (FSMTC), and Mr. Richie Adams, representing the State of Pohnpei on the FSMTC Board of Directors, for a courtesy call at the State Capitol.

During the meeting, CEO Perman emphasized FSMTC’s role as a custodian of each state’s telecommunications infrastructure and conveyed to Governor Joseph that Pohnpei State has a significant stake in FSMTC, especially with Mr. Adams serving on the Board of Directors.

Governor Joseph expressed his gratitude for the visit and acknowledged the importance of Pohnpei’s representation on the FSMTC Board. He emphasized that with the FSMTC headquarters located on Pohnpei public lands, the state has a vested interest in the corporation’s operations.

In response to CEO Perman’s statement, Governor Joseph assured both officials that any telecommunications projects in Pohnpei would prioritize the interests of the people of Pohnpei. He underscored the commitment to ensuring that the telecommunications services provided by FSMTC in the state align with the needs and aspirations of the local community.
