Executive Director of the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Tuna Commission Visits Pohnpei State Government, Seeks Collaboration with State Government

Kolonia, Pohnpei: January 19, 2024 – The Executive Director of the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Tuna Commission (WCPFC), Rhea Moss-Christian, accompanied by Finance and Facilities Manager Aaron Nighswander and Executive Assistant Arlene Takesy, paid a courtesy visit to Governor Stevenson A. Joseph to express appreciation for the continued support of the Tuna Commission and to seek collaboration with the Pohnpei State Government on a critical issue.

During the meeting, Executive Director Moss-Christian conveyed her gratitude for the longstanding partnership between WCPFC and Pohnpei as the host jurisdiction. She highlighted the vital role of Pohnpei in facilitating the work of the Commission and ensuring sustainable management of tuna resources in the region.
