Kolonia, Pohnpei – In a solemn and inspiring video message released today, Governor Stevenson A. Joseph addressed the people of Pohnpei on the occasion of Pohnpei Constitution Day. Governor Joseph reflected on the significance of the Pohnpei Constitution, which stands as a foundation of our government and a testament to our shared values of justice, democracy, and unity.

In his message, Governor Joseph emphasized the enduring strength of the Pohnpei people, highlighting the importance of resilience and the power of community. He explained the significance of the Pohnpei constitution as not just a document but as the guide for all important work undertaken by the people of Pohnpei.  

Unique challenges mark this year’s Constitution Day, and Governor Joseph expressed his commitment to upholding the principles of transparency and accountability, especially in light of the recent resolution submitted to the Pohnpei Legislature. This resolution contains articles of impeachment that address various claims against the Governor’s office. Governor Joseph reassured the public that he remains steadfast in his dedication to serving the people of Pohnpei, focusing on pressing issues that impact the well-being of our citizens.
